Worker System

Get funded by the network to build, promote, and grow the Esher ecosystem

What is a Worker?

In the Esher ecosystem, a Worker is a blockchain-funded role proposed to perform a specific task that benefits the network — such as development, community building, marketing, infrastructure, research, or design. Once approved by community vote, a worker receives ESH payments from the blockchain reserve according to the agreed budget and timeline.

This model ensures that Esher can grow through decentralized contributions, not just centralized teams.

How It Works

  1. Create a Proposal – Anyone can propose a worker by defining the scope, duration, and budget in ESH.
  2. Get Voted In – ESH holders vote to approve or reject the proposal. Only proposals with sufficient support get funded.
  3. Receive Payment – Once active, the worker address receives daily payouts directly from the network reserve.
  4. Deliver Work – While the blockchain doesn’t enforce task completion, the community can revoke support if progress is unsatisfactory.

Examples of Worker Proposals

  1. Building a block explorer or wallet interface
  2. Running marketing campaigns or content creation
  3. Translating Esher documentation to other languages
  4. Running a regional community hub

Requirements to Create a Worker

  1. A clear proposal title and description
  2. Daily or total ESH payout amount
  3. Start and end block number (defines duration)
  4. A recipient account (worker address)

Voting for Workers

All ESH holders have the right to participate in the worker funding process by casting votes. Each holder can vote for, against, or abstain from any active worker proposal. Voting power is weighted by the amount of ESH held, meaning larger stakeholders have proportionally greater influence. Votes can be updated at any time, allowing the community to dynamically support or withdraw funding based on a worker’s performance or relevance. Voting can be done through the governance panel in the wallet interface or via command-line tools for advanced users. This democratic mechanism ensures that only proposals with real community backing receive funding from the network reserve.

Why Worker Matters

The Worker System is Esher’s decentralized hiring and funding mechanism — enabling the network to evolve through open collaboration and accountability. Anyone can contribute, and everyone has a say in who gets funded.
